Greeters stand at the church door and in the sanctuary, welcoming people into the house of God. Greeting is more than a job, it's a privilege. We're there to make everyone feel important whether they are members or guests in our church. Greeting with a smile or handshake helps set the tone of the service.
The Greeters at Firehouse Church become part of this ministry because they want to serve God, our pastors, and the entire congregation. They contribute to the needs of everyone through their hospitality as they make people feel welcome and let them know they matter. Greeters, direct guests, pass out envelopes, sermon notes, and other church Information. During altar call they pray with and for women and children. They remain after service at the Connection Center in order to answer questions or to receive Salvation and Connect cards. The Greeter's ministry is open to everyone. If you're interested in serving, please see me, Aurora Ballesteros, or Becky Aguirre, or one of the Greeters. And it's not just open to women, it's open to men too.
God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.
